The Fork ("we", "the site") is an independently operated album-review aggregator. This page explains what data is collected when you visit and how it is used.
The Fork does not require an account and does not ask you for personal information. We do not directly store names, email addresses, or payment details. Your filter and search preferences are kept in your browser (local storage and the page URL) and are never sent to us.
This site is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense. To deliver and measure ads, Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies, including the DoubleClick cookie, to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
If you are in the EU or UK, an in-product consent message is shown before personalised ads are served, and you can change your choice at any time.
We may use privacy-respecting aggregate analytics to understand overall traffic. These do not identify individual visitors.
Reviews and album data link out to third-party sites (such as Pitchfork). Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect ad relevance but will not stop you using the site.
